Translations show @ the SFMOMA Cafe

Here is an installation view of "Translations", a survey
of my recent drawings that was up at SFMOMA's Cafe
Museo from April 1- May 12, 2009. The show was organized
through the SFMOMA Artists Gallery and was an amazing
experience!

Was very happy to receive this recent article in the SF Examiner
that chronicles what I've been up to lately:

Countdown Generator @ The Galactic Gala

On Friday June 5th I installed the latest version
of Countdown Generator, a collaborative video
project with Bay Area Film maker John Urquhart
@ The Galactic Gala. The event was held at the
tony Bentley Reserve in SF and was a fundraiser
for 70 Oakland Artists who are planning to
build a 4 story neo-futuristic rocketship artwork.

This was the first run with Attraction/Repulsion.
The piece was installed at the NASA Aimes
Research Center as part of a multimedia event
called Yuri's Night 2007. Honoring Yuri Gagarin
the first human to go into space.

Here are a few reviews of the trial run of this
piece that appeared in Wired Magazine and
UberGizmo.

The 2nd Biennial 01SJ Global Festival of Art on the Edge
is North America’s newest and largest festival of digital arts, and
a great deal more. From a hip hop, multi-media meditation on
Antarctica to robot art, from conversations with artificial
intelligence to operatic performances of Google headlines about
the environment, from avant-garde cinema to new musical forms
- well over 100 artworks, performances, screenings, talks, and
workshops will be featured at 01SJ. Festival organizers expect it
to be a perspective-altering experience that entertains, enlightens,
educates and involves attendees in a new understanding of our
changing world.
